CMV test positive????

Question

I got a call from my doctor today telling me I tested positive for CMV virus which if you got normally when you weren't pregnant not a big deal.  But now that I am 11weeks pregnant it is a very big deal.  They had me come back in today to take a test & see how recent my exposure is.

Has anyone else gone through this?  Any good stories come out of it?  Scared to know & scared for our baby now.

We found out after my daughter was born that she was exposed to cmv. I had her at 27 weeks due to a placental abruption.  She was born with a cataract in her eye and that's what led to the drs to test for cmv. It was a frightening and confusing diagnosis, but 4.5 years later here we are with a very smart and beautiful little girl. She hit the lottery in the eye dept and we see a specialist twice a year. They also did extensive testing on her hearing...but her cataract is the only lasting occurrence.
