Should my period be late while taking Metformin?

I have been on metformin for PCOS since October of last year. After getting married in December I would miss taking it sometimes. But since being on metformin I have had regular cycles every 28-29 days. So im very confused I am now on day 35 and still nothing, some symptoms but nothing. Did I mess up my body with missed dosages or could I be pregnant? My husband and I have been TTC since December but I'm too scared to take a PT and be disappointed.

I don't think metformin delays your period. I have type 2 diabetes and have been on metformin for 2 years. I am super regular (29 days cycles). I was on metformin when I got pregnant and now I am almost 34 weeks. I would definitely take the test! Good luck :)

I would test! I have PCOS as well and I started having a normal cycle with metformin. The one month I was late, I told myself it was just the pcos and that I wasn't going to disappoint myself by taking a test. I was having only a couple of symptoms, but I figured it was just my hormones being screwy. Well luckily for me I was due for my annual, because I was pregnant and found out at the doctor's office! I wouldn't have even bothered testing and I wouldn't have known for probably months. I now have a healthy, happy 6 month old son. Just test girl, you'll need to know either way. Good luck!
