anyone had the flu when pregnant?

I have felt bad for couple days. Going to the urgent care tonight. I will be 21 weeks tomorrow!! What did they give you?

If you test positive but have had symptoms over 72 hours they can give you anything. Take Tylenol if your fever is over 101, plenty of fluids, chicken soup, run a humidifier, rest, etc

No fever, thought it was sinus. Terrible stuffy nose, sore throat, and headache...feel so bad

I had the norovirus at 7 weeks. Went to er and got an iv of saline to rehydrate me immediately. Couldn't keep anything down for 35 hours. They prescribed me an anti nausea medicine. Went away in the next couple days. Hope for the best for you!!!

The vaccine is only 48% effective...some doctors may give you tamiflu if it's within 24-48 hrs, but a lot won't because it's a category c drug and doesn't really do much. (It may lessen the length by a day.....) It can honestly have some pretty bad side effects and is pretty expensive, so I wouldn't take it even if offered. Really you just have to wait it out. Keep your temp below 102, stay hydrated and it will prob help some to increase your vit c & d. Hope you feel better soon!!!

I did! I got it in January, around 18 weeks, they still prescribed me tamiflu, but I ended up just taking Tylenol cold and flu until I was better.

Yes but at 35weeks and 5 days, two days later I went into labor. I got the vaccine didn't help much I guess. For this I got the vaccine on my LMP day lol
