Am I the only person without a birth plan?

And I don't want one.  Like at all.  Just do whatever it is you need to do to get my babies out of me and keep them healthy.  Am I the only person like this?  Everyone seems to have one!

It may be good to have a few ideas of what you want, but definitely know that there's a good chance it won't go as planned. Especially for things after birth too. Like if you don't want them to bathe the baby right away, delayed cord clamping, immediate skin to skin, use of pain medication, etc. Doesn't hurt to plan a bit, but be prepared for change as well. Also having a birth plan helps some people stick to what they want, example: having an unmedicated birth.

I'm with you! I'd rather not have one too and then be upset and disappointed when it doesn't go as planned. Of course I'd rather no c-section but if it's what needs to be done so be it.

I'm just going with the flow. I'll try to go as long as possible without epidural but if it gets too bad I will not feel bad about getting one lol otherwise whatever needs to happen will happen so long as I have my healthy baby at the end.

My birth plan is about what I would most like during unexpected situations. If I need a c-section, I want my partner there. If I'm unable to hold the baby I want my partner to have him.

There are some smaller things like I want to wear contacts but have glasses packed, and please avoid overhead lights but it doesn't have anything super concrete like requiring certain music when baby crowns or anything that's clearly going to be hard to orchestrate.

Basically, I want my partner to feel like he's informed as best he can be if certain situations arise and I'm not in a clear state of mind to handle them.

I didn't have one for me why have it when anything can happen. Yes it's good to have an idea of what you want for certain things but to gonsuper crazy about every single detail it's too much. I knew I wanted pain mess through my IV to help with pain then when I couldn't bare it I got my epidural that was it after my son was born I wanted skin to skin immediately.

I don't have one... I don't want to hold myself to any expectations that may turn out to be unrealistic for me and my baby. As long as she gets here safe and sound, I am okay with whatever it takes 😊

Nope because I figured it would all go out the window any ways. And I think the doctor honestly appreciated the fact that we were just going to go with the flow of labor and delivery

A birth plan isn't setting anything in stone. It is just your preferences. Of course the doctors first priority is to get your baby here safe. You will always be alerted before anything is changed.
