Who should be in the new born pictures??

Grandma is trying to argue her way into the pictures but I don't think it is appropriate so I just wanted everyones' thoughts

Few with just the baby, few with only parents, few with parents and brother, few with brother and new baby. Grandma can take pictures at home or hire the photographer herself for her pictures.

I personally don't think they should as I see newborn pictures as something to be done with immediate family, i.e. parents as siblings. If grandma wants pictures, she could easily have he own session and get some with her and the baby is mom approves.

For new baby, I don't think extended family is necessary. Grandma can take pictures anytime.

Why not get a variety of your posting that kind of money for pictures? I would see it as a good opportunity to get part of the cost covered if she wants to be a part of it. If you guys get along though, I don't see why it's "inappropriate"...

Gma can pay for her own photography session. NB photo shoot would include BABY, and you husband and sibling if you want. But definitely not gmas gpas cousins friends coworkers etc 😮

Ours will be extra for anyone outside of us and the baby to be in them so definitely not

I prefer just the baby, although I'm probably going to do a few of brother and baby.

I wouldn't say with Grandma is inappropriate, but I think it's unnecessary unless she wants to pay for the extra time with the photographer. I wouldn't use the time I'm paying for to have pics with Grandma.

I dont think it is standard idea for grandmas to be in it but see if you can work something out with the photographer to take a few with grandma. I try to see things from grandma's point of view, feel like she is really in love with your baby, its sweet ♥
