Tattoos?

I've been wanting a tattoo. But I'm soooo nervous! I think it's more of the going and getting one then actually feeling the pain of one. I've been wanting to get something small to start out see if I can handle the pain. I've had my lip, nose, belly button,my ears and 2nd holes done twice. I've also gauged my ears twice. And I handled all of them pretty good. It was just the nerves of getting ready to get one that sucked....any advice? And what to expect and how it felt to you?
