choosing a birthing hospital and Ob
So me and my SO have been TTC about 9 months and have not gotten pregnant yet but I'm still planning everything. The nearest birthing hospital to me is 30 minutes away and I have done some casual nursing shifts there. The thing is I don't think I want to have my baby born there. Most of the staff are lovely but the hospital itself and the facilities aren't that great. The next birthing hospital is an hour away and I'm 90% sure this is where I want to have my baby. It's also a beautiful new hospital with single rooms.
I'm having trouble finding an obstetrician in the area that I'd like to see though. And I know chances are the obstetrician I see probably won't be the one to deliver my baby. So I'm not sure whether to see the ob closer to home and book in for a baby at the preferred hospital.
I don't want to ask people about their experiences or their obs because I want my pregnancy to be a complete surprise to everyone when it happens
