Going on patch as 1st BC ever

I made about 3 years of research on all forms of BC and some are too risky for my point of view like the Depo shot or the Cooper IUD, some seem not too legit like the pill, some make you bleed a lot like the implant... Patch seems as more discrete and effective but if that doesn't work I will try the ring. What's (was) your experience with it? Please be honest let me know the good and bad of it
