question for those who got pregnant after ectopic with one tube or are still trying

I had my left tube removed. I was never asked if I wanted to do a hsg to check my right. After surgery all I know was they said my right looked normal and it looked really good but they never inserted dye. So I just assumed everything was fine but if nothing in a year should I ask my doctor about just doing a hsg then?
