Like how old my baby haves to be to be able to switch to formula?

Breastfeed as long as you want/are able! Formula is safe to give baby in lieu of breast milk at any time. It's up to you and how you want to feed your baby. 👍🏻 most pediatricians recommend breastfeeding until age one but not all moms want to or are able to produce that long.

Everyone differs from person to person it depends on the needs of you and your baby. Most people say it is recommended to breastfeed only or formul feed only until 4-6 months. However I also read that to prevent sagging it's good to breastfeed for atleast the first year of the babies life since during the 4-6 month mark is when your producing the most milk and it's much easier to ween the baby off breastmilk when they've been introduced to solids and be careful on how fast you ween your baby off is what will effect your breasts is that makes sense like if you try to just stop breastfeeding when your producing a lot of milk it may cause sagging, breastfeeding is also good for their brain development so breastfeeding until a year is good for the baby and that's what I plan on doing. But talk to your doctor and do research yourself, do what's best for you and baby

I'm still nursing my third. He turned 1 in Feb. I stopped pumping at work in Jan and he's on whole milk when I'm not home. But when I am home, and at night, I nurse. I don't know how long I will continue but I have no plan to stop. I nursed my first two kids their first year as well.

Biting can happen, but it shouldn't be a regular occurance. Some babies get teeth really early. My first had his first tooth very early. His isn't a reason to stop nursing. You just reacted and say ouch and unlatch. When baby learns that biting gets them no food, it stops. I've only been bit a handful of times between all the kids.

Natural weaning happens between the ages of 2 and 7 worldwide. Personally I could go to 2.5 or so. At that age it's only generally nursing before bed. It's not like people often nurse a 5 year old all day (although I'm sure it's possible). AAP recommends until age 2 so I'm shooting for that with my last baby. We shall see!

You can give your baby formula if/whenever you choose. Some babies have it straight from birth. The current recommendation is to breastfeed for 2 years. Most pediatricians will encourage nursing for as long as you are able to. It's really up to you.

I set a goal of 1 year and We are 7 months in but I started to supplement just a little when LO was 6 months so I could catch up on storing breastmilk. You can go as long as you want but the longer the better
