Where would you choose?

Question

If you were in my position? 
I have the choice from giving birth in my home town or the city over (about 20 minutes away) 
(Iv had a totally normal pregnancy so far and babies head down)

So if home town 
- Much smaller (two birthing rooms) and a birthing pool but large spacious rooms 
- near home
- near my mum so she can visit if I need her
- very modern and up to date room 
- they can't give me the epidural 
- they can't perform a c section if needed either 
- can give lesser painkillers

If at the city 
- can preform c sections and epidural 
- a lot more people, bigger birthing unit 
- struggles with parking 
- 20 minutes away or more depending on traffic 
- can't have my mum there (she's disabled and can't go too far) 
- probably won't be able to get a birthing pool (and I would like one)

So I don't know what to do! This is my first baby so I don't know 🤷‍♀️ 
What happens if something bad happens are my thoughts and I need a c section or something 🤔

P.s if something does come up where they think I will need something my home town does not have, they will send me to the city anyway.

With a normal, low risk pregnancy, I'd opt for your hometown 5000 times over!!! If you need anything more, they'll transfer you, and most likely you won't, so might as well be close to home with your mom and that birthing pool!!

20 mins is nothing! The closest hospital to me is 20-25 minutes away. But I'd choose the city simply for the peace of mind knowing that IF something goes wrong, they're equipped to handle it. Even in a very typical pregnancy, ANYTHING can happen during labor and delivery. I'd never forgive myself if I chose a hospital based on a pool and close to my mom (no offense, but what's your mom going to do if you need a c-section?), and a true emergency came up and we didn't make it to the bigger hospital in time to perform the c-section or what not. Another thing influencing my decision, but maybe not yours, is that I already know I want an epidural. So that makes a difference in how I look at it.

Which one is the most capable to handle a serious situation should one arise? That's who I'd go with.

Find out the details of what happens if you're at the one close to home and you or baby need more help then they can offer?! Does baby leave and you're stuck until discharge?? That would be a deal breaker for me... Or would you both be transferred. When would those decisions be made and by whom? Not being with my son/daughter due to a complication would tip the scale for me. Maybe not for you, but get all the details you can about what happens if things don't go as planned and then you'll know for sure you're making the right choice and not giving up on something you want for a big "what if". City, you're going to want all of your options. If possible try and book a birthing pool for the week you're do, or make sure to request one early on. If possible havenyour Mom stay with you leading up to birth so you can take her along when in labor (if that's an option depending upon disability and what not)

I would pick the hospital further away. What if you need an emergency c-section? Also, if that hospital can't perform c-sections or epidurals I would also be concerned that they would not be equipped if something went wrong or if the baby needed more support than normal.
