Extra land/space
One less neighbour to deal with 😂
Not much noise 
Our own large driveway

Cons

Heating is more expensive as you're not 'insulated' by the extra house say you would be with a terraced.

Noise from the neighbour seems to be heightened cus it's only from one side.

We sometimes get damp on the side of the house that isn't attached to anything.

I live in one. It's a beautiful house pretty large too... nice area.. downside... neighbours kids r so f***ing noisy n it pisses me right off sometimes because I'm 34 weeks pregnant and can hear "bang bang bang" as if they r just sat kicking the wall or something n I don't wana hear that when I'm trying to sleep! Other than that... it's nice x

I'm in an end terraced, so kind of the same? I have an elderly neighbour so I don't really hear or see him very often. I live in an oldish house so very well build. Have lived here for 2 years with no probs with noise or anything x

I haven't but my cousin does. 
At first her neighbors were really great- similar schedules and pretty quiet. Then they moved. Now the new people are super loud and seem to love opposite of them which is hard since she has 3 kids trying to sleep at night!

For me it would depend on the neighbors and neighborhood feel. Plus, what walls are shared: do you share living spaces or bedroom walls. B
