how many ultrasounds are you suppose to have?

How many ultrasounds do you get while pregnant?? I want alot of scans and im now hearing that you dont even get that many

Depends on your OB usually it's no more than 2 maybe 3. You aren't readily supposed to have a lot of scans it's not necessary. If you're healthy and so is your baby then you'll get a few

I hear the norm is 2, one for confirmation around 12 weeks and the anatomy scan around 20.

I got lucky and have an OB that does an ultrasound at nearly every visit. At 21 weeks I've already had 4 and have a 4D scheduled for 32 weeks

I got 3 so far at 19 weeks. They gave me one at 8 weeks to make sure baby was there and heart was beating. I was cramping really bad two weeks later around 10 weeks so they gave me another one. Then a couple days ago I had I my gender. I think that's usually when they stop unless you have complications.

Depends on the OB I guess. I got one at 5,6&7 weeks only because at 5&7 weeks I was having complications. But the 6 weeks was my original appointment and I needed it anyways after having the problems at 5 weeks. Then we got our 20 week ultrasound we got 6 picture then. I don't think we'll get anymore but we're thinking of getting the 4D which we'll have to ask to get.

I have one every 4 weeks, when I'm closer every 2 weeks,   also the NH scan,  and 20 week anatomy scan. ( perinatal  office).. each obgyn is different  and some insurances dont cover them.

My best  friend just  had her baby,  and she got one at 7 weeks and another 20 weeks only.

I had the two 'proper' ones at 12 and 20 weeks, but at every appointment I get to see my baby.
So at 36 weeks I've seen my baby maybe 12 times

I had one at 8 weeks, 13 weeks, 20 weeks, I asked for a 3D sono at 28 weeks and I'm having my last one sometime between 34-36.

I've had 6 ultrasounds done so far and I'm only 22 weeks. 5 through the hospital and 1 private 3D/4D gender reveal ultrasound. I am high risk and will have an ultrasound done every week starting at 34weeks to ensure my little boy is getting the optimal blood flow through the placenta.

I'm 20 weeks and I've already had 5. 8w2d, 9w, 12w (nt scan), 13w2d and my anatomy scan at 20w.
