help please I'm so confused!!

Hi ladies, so long story short, my HCG has been slowly rising, and Monday I was told that it actually dropped from 273 to 187 and to prepare for a miscarriage.  I'm not currently spotting or having cramping, and today this pregnancy test is the darkest it's ever been and popped up immediately....I don't know what to think, has anyone ever had this happen?! How did it turn out?? I know the pregnancy tests aren't necessarily designed to get darker with higher levels of HCG, but it is so strange to me.  Thank you in advance!
