Is it a sign it isn't going to work/ Are we not meant to be?

Please comment:
-If things start out heavy with a guy on the phone and you guys talk forever from day to night, is it weird to have long pauses between conversations? 
-is it weird to not have too much to talk about? 
-If we start running out of things to talk about, then what should I say?

You're not always going to have something to say. Silence is okay. Silence can actually be nice sometimes- gives you a chance to process what has been said and think about what to say. Sometimes I just don't feel like talking and my boyfriend will call me and just sit in silence. But he calls just so I feel his presence. It's totally normal to not have anything to say.

I used to also wonder, my bf and I used to be quiet all the time when we were in the car, I remember when we went on a date for my bday and most of the time tbh I didn't know what to say. I used to love when he called me but I never knew what to say and I ended up quiet or letting him talk. It was weird for me something and I'd ask myself if he was the right one for me. Now I don't shut up, we barely have silent moments and if we do, it's perfectly fine. We have a great relationship and talking a lot or not never really defined us.

I think it's a personal preference. Some people don't mind quiet. If you find it awkward and its not working for you.

I once sat on the phone for two hours without talking to my male friend and he had fallen asleep on the phone... my phone died and in the morning he called me again to see how I slept and apologized for falling asleep but not realizing he never hung up so he also apologized for killing my battery...
