Weird dark discharge?

My period this month was mostly normal aside from being three days late. And now I'm experiencing this weird discharge. Usually at the very end of my period for a few days I get this sort of thick dark discharge but this month it lasted longer, got thinner and got heavier. Plus there is some itching. Does this happen to anyone else and could you tell me why? 😅
