eve's not gonna lie: It's been known to happen. But if you're smart and prepared, you'll probably avoid a poo-tasrophe.

In general, poop doesn't hang out in your rectum (the bottom part of the intestinal tract right inside the anus), but higher up in your intestines. So you're at a higher risk of a little surprise if you're being penetrated deeper.

But if you've been pooping regularly, aren't having any tummy troubles, and have washed with warm soapy water before you get to it, you should be chill.

But hey girl, even if it does happen, no shame. Sometimes shit goes down when we're getting down. Just laugh it off, clean it up, and keep on grooving!

Here is something that I have learned recently, which is sad cuz I started having anal sex when I was 18 and I’m almost 40 now. If you want to anal douche to feel extra clean and confident you only need to clean out the rectum. I read an article where a doctor said you don’t really have to anal douche, but if you want to, putting only about 6 ounces of water at a time up your butt and flushing it back out 2-4 times is enough. 
A lot of people have run into trouble (myself included) because they thought the deeper they flushed the better and they got water up past the rectum and into the sigmoid colon. Poo is not usually stored in the rectum. Sometimes there are traces. That’s all you want to clean out. Unless your partner is of horsey proportions he probably won’t go past there. Poo is stored beyond the rectum in the sigmoid colon until you have to go to the bathroom. 
Douching with too much water can get water all up in the sigmoid colon, which can initially make things messier than if you actually hadn’t tried to freshen up in there in the first place. It can be SUPER time consuming, create cramps, diarrhea-type situations, and lots of mood-killing anxiety. It can also hurt your health. People have overdouched, thought everything was sparkly clean in there, but had water trapped and then it came rushing out like diarrhea when they didn’t want it to, like while coughing at the grocery store or in the middle of sex. My advice: avoid constipation and diarrhea and if you’re going to anal douche, that’s cool, just don’t overdo it.
