LBGT 101: What does "gay" mean?
Gay is one of those slippery terms that has a bunch of meanings -- originally it meant "carefree" or "happy" (as in "make the yuletide gay!").
Now it's a term that refers primarily to men who are attracted to men, though some people use it as an umbrella term for all members of the LGBTQ community.
The number one thing that gay is NOT: an insult!!
Flaunt your pride, girl, and call out anyone who puts you or members of the LGBTQ community down for loving who they love.
