Boyfriend

So I just started dating again after 6 years being single I'm going to be 37 in May and my new bf will be 34 in july he has kids as do I and it's been like a hot and cold situation one minute he's texting me and saying what he wants to do to me and the next I don't hear from him. I met him online and we hooked up and whatnot he's a great guy funny smart honest he says he's looking for the same thing I'm looking for but doesn't want to make it official just yet to our family and kids. Idk what to do what to think? Anyone on here can you please ease my mind!
