Cows milk?

Question

When are you guys introducing cows milk into your baby's diet? Are you going to start at 12 months? And how often will you give milk vs water?

I'm still breastfeeding my 11 and 1/2 month old, but am trying to decide how to wean him down to maybe just nursing morning and night. Thoughts?

My son self weaned at 10 months (he had only been down to a night feeding for the past month or so anyways). When he was weaned I tried to replace the night nurse with a night bottle of formula (drank it just fine during the day), he was not having it at all. I asked his pediatrician about it and he said to start offering cows milk (but it couldn't replace more than 40% of his daily formula intake until closer to 1. But he's been eating a ton of regular food for a while (up to 14-16 teeth already) and has 100% quit formula since a week ago. He'll be one next week. I've tried to offer him water but he doesn't really have an interest in it.

My son is 11.5 months and I have been giving him a bottle of Lactaid (lactose free so it's easier on the tummy). He's not big on eating all solids yet and loves his bottle, so until I'm confident that he is getting all his nutrients from food, I won't be weaning.
