8 days dpo, too soon to test?

Question

I'm due for my period in 5 days, but I'm only 8 days past ovulation. Just took a test that was negative. Think it was simply too soon to test? Really bums me out 😩

Sorry that sent before I was done. Yeah last time I conceived I ovulated way late so it was good to know when my peak was bc it worked! But now it seems I'm ovulating right at 14 days past my period, which is earlier than pre mc. I am not even sure my period will come on the 28th day bc I've only had one since my d&c, but I was very regular prior. I've felt so off today, tired, sick to my stomach. Fingers crossed. Going to wait another few days and test again.
