age gaps

I've been seeing this guy for a little while now (7 months) since we've been seeing eachother I miscarried with his baby.. my mum didn't like the age gap at all and she says it's disgusting! There's 16 years difference between us.. but the feelings are definitely there, we do so much together and ever since the miscarriage he really wants us to try again for a baby.. but obviously my mum doesn't no where still together - thinking of telling her soon as where off on holiday next month! But what's people's opinion on the age gap? It's not like I'm 15&16 an he's 16 years older, I'm nearly 20 and he's nearly 36? Really feeling like giving up.. I really don't want us to break up because we're a lot more than best friends!❤
