Starting clomid in April

I am trying to conceive my first child after 2 MC. I just finished the pre-testing with my ob/gyn today. He decided that I should try the clomid. But do to the fact that I am already CD 8 he says that I should start it next month. But I am not being monitored. Is this something I should worry about? I'm excited and anxious. We are still going on try this month naturally.
