Stopping bc pills

My SO and I were talking about stopping my bc pills and I decided that I should because I've been on them since I was about 17 (I'm 29 now) and I want to start ttc. I was told back then that I have pcos and was prescribed the pills to regulate my period because I would only get it once every 6 months...So I stopped a week after starting the new pack then resumed after not taking them two days because I read that I should finish the month if i had started it and then I thought maybe I should go see a doctor before completely stopping since I haven't seen a dr. for my pcos in a few years. I started bleeding last night and I had my period two weeks ago. Am I bleeding because I stopped and restarted my pills? Sorry for the long rant!!
