Leaving your LO

At what age did you/will you start getting a babysitter for nights out with friends, date nights, etc? I'm expecting my first and the thought of leaving my LO with anyone terrifies me. We don't live near family at all, so we would be going with someone local based on recommendations from families in our area. I used to care for babies at about 4+ months when I was in college, but I don't imagine wanting to leave my baby with anyone at that young of an age. Just want to get some opinions of others!
