Livia

Anyone who knows me well knows that I have awful cramps. Each time I have my period I have to take 2 Tylenol 1s, and 400mg of extra strength Advil to not be bothered by my cramps. Even then, sometimes I'm still uncomfortable. I typically watch the clock to see when I can take the next dose, and for the first 2 sometimes 3 days of my flow, I am maxed out on what you can take for both Tylenol and Advil in 24 hours. 

When I saw that Livia was being created I was super excited!!!! Something to dull the pain where I don't have to take ridiculous amounts of pain medication, and potentially be harming my liver. I finally got my pre-ordered Livia in the mail yesterday, perfect timing, period started yesterday! I had already taken the usual medication an hour before checking the mailbox, so testing it then wouldn't tell me if it's working or if it's the medication doing it's job. So this morning, I woke up to the usual intense tightness and pain that comes with cramps, set up the electrodes, and started zapping my pain away. Pretty happy to report that it works well! I had to play around with where the electrodes were placed to have it be more effective. I have it on the second level of intensity, and it's doing well. It tickles a little bit under the skin, but after a few minutes that sensation goes away. It's not painful at all! Now my cramps aren't completely gone, but they're just this dull annoyance, rather than the excruciating knife stabbing and twisting that normally happens lol. My main concern is that because I am a plus sized woman, going from a lying down position to a sitting position means flat tummy to a not so flat tummy 😂 I'm worried the electrodes might  be squished weird or move slightly. I definitely plan to use this regularly. I am still taking medication this morning, but while I am waiting for the medication to work I am comfortable and relaxing in bed. Pretty excited about this!
