Talked to doctor already but.... (TMI)

Leah Margaret • 3 children to adore, and adding one more! My fiancé Craig and I are expecting pink bows on 06/04! 🎀
I will be 31 weeks along on Sunday. In the past two days I've been experiencing nausea and heartburn like usual, only a little more intense. My little girl has also dropped further into the birth canal. Today I had a long mucous strand come out onto toilet paper when I used the restroom (this was around 2pm). It was just long, about the size of my palm and the thickness of a slug. It was not tinged with any blood. Her movements have not stopped, although over the past two weeks, a little less than that, they have slowed. I'm pretty positive that the mucous was part of my plug. Just a few minutes ago while using the restroom for a bowel movement I had more of the plug come out, only this time in smaller pieces and tinged brown. I've been having Braxton hicks for weeks and continue to have them, with more pain today and much much much more pressure now that she has dropped more. Still having issues with breathing though. My question is: is it possible for me to lose my mucous plug and not go into labor this early? This is my 4th child and each has come a week earlier than the last, with my last birth at the beginning of 38 weeks. BUT my fiancé's family has risk of premature labor and I am also high risk. As the title stated I have spoken with the doctor and was told that I would get a call back should he think anything was seriously wrong. I have not received a call back. But I'm nervous and just had to ask you guys. Please, anything to calm my nerves and/or prepare me?
