Went to the doctor yesterday and was trying to schedule my repeat c section. I was devastated to learn that they refuse to do it any earlier than 39 weeks. I was hoping for maybe a few days before as my boyfriend would be leaving to go back on the rig shortly after. Come to find out my doc is actually going on vacation on 39 exactly for a few days. The hospital even refused to schedule even half a day early before she leaves! They scheduled me for when she returns, however im so heartbroken that he will only be able to witness her being born around noon, then leaving the next morning by 6am. Any other women that have dealt with this? I'm nervous as ill be all alone and so sad that he wont be around :(
