Does anyone get sad/frustrated knowing the people they want at their baby shower won't be there?

My grandmother and alot of cousins and aunts won't be able to make it. It's like 5 people from my side of the family are going to be there and everyone from my fiances side of the family is going to be there .

Sadly a lot of my friends that were so "excited" to be there didn't even show or text me at all that weekend. I had about 5 family members on my side there and the rest were my husband's family and friends and I still had a great time. I got some awesome gifts regardless and I was just happy the way it turned out. I wouldn't worry too much because you could still enjoy yourself and have a good time visiting with the people that will be there.

Both sides of our families live in different states. His up North and Mine down South. I registered online so they could still order something and send it if they wanted to and that's what my grandmother and his mother did so they still feel included.

I think I have a total of 5 people coming to my shower.  My sister planned it and now is going to the beach for her friend's birthday on that day. Sent me a text message saying she cant make it and that was why. I didnt really know what to say. Oh well I'm happy knowing I'm celebrating my baby girl coming into the world and that's all that matters.
