late period but negative pregnancy tests

Back in December I got off the pill bc I have the memory of a goldfish and would never remember to take it so it was pretty much useless, I'm supposed to get an IUD soon though. My period is now a week late but every test I've taken has been negative. Should I make a planned parenthood appointment and get a better test done or should I wait another week or so for my period? :/ I'm never this late but it has been off by a few days before. Being pregnant wouldn't be the end of the world for me either I'm just confused at this point
