First hamster tips

So I'm going to be getting a hamster (my 1st hamster). I want to keep it happy and active so it can have fun and not be locked in a cage all day. I know its weird but I want to make it a small play ground. I know its a lot just for a hamster but I don't want it being bored in a cage. These are the items I'm planning on getting it. Do you think the hamster will have fun? Any tips?
