Can I refuse a std test ?

I've never seen an gyn my fiance is the only person I've been with and I'm the only person. He's been with. I feel like getting one would be a violation of my trust and. I don't want one. Am I allowed to refuse ? I only want to see a gyn because of my periods and their irregularities since me and my fiance have been ttc for a year now.

Just because you've only had one sexual partner it doesn't mean you won't get an std. There are so many types of stds that you can contract even through your own body it doesn't always mean someone else has given you something. Just get the test and be safe. Imagine if you didn't get tested and later found you had something that needed treating. Personally I'd rather just get the test and  confirm I'm clear than not get it and be left wondering or worried my partner no longer trusts me. It's a medical test that's standard when ttc or when your pregnant. Surely your partner would understand this and have no reason to even bring trust into it.

Try not to see it as a violation, but see it for what it is, standard protocol that allows ur dr to rule out MANY issues, even tho you KNOW ur fine and ur hubby is too, its just how the process works and has for very long time.

Me personally I think you should get one an allow your fiancé to go in the room with you or even show an discuss your results because it might be something he needs to know. I mean you want him to trust you an marry you?
