sac getting bigger, but still no baby?

I'm wondering if this is possible.

I went in for an ultrasound at 5 weeks 6 Days. Or at least that's what the sac measured. Just a sac, nothing else.

3 days later I went back again and the sac is now measuring 6 weeks 3 days, but still nothing in it

It may be what's called a blighted ovum. This is when your body thinks its pregnant by creating a sac for a non existent fetus. Basically, the cells never formed to attach to your uterus wall. Or they did form, just stopped growing. I would wait another week or so and then check again.

It could be because it's real early a place we go to for scans here don't scan until 8 weeks pregnant because sometimes the fetal pole and baby hasn't developed enough to be seen. Fingers crossed that's all it is in your case Hun!

Without a yolk sac and fetal pole it's not a viable pregnancy, it's a blighted ovum. I'm sorry for your sadness and loss
