Spotting?

So according to eve this week is my fertile window, or whatever, and i just went to the bathroom and found brownish/red discharge. I don't say blood cause it didn't soak through my underwear like period blood does, and it was kinda sticky. Could this just be a combo of the normal, fertile week discharge and some spotting, or should I be worried?
