Spotting? TMI

I have been spotting for the past 5 or so days now on and off. I am trying to conceive. My period is about 5-6 days late give or take. Mostly seen when wiping. But no period yet. My periods are a bit iregular but have never had spotting. Completely unusual for me. pregnancy tests are negative it seems. Having pinching and tugging in the tummy area and a couple inches on either side of my belly button, had nausea, a headache yesterday. I do have a cold, and have felt dizzy, fatigued and breasts are sore. Ofcourse all of this could be chalked up to period symptoms. Comments appreciated as to what this could be and what I should do going forward. Thanks. :)
