can drinking stop you getting pregnant ?

Someone I know is trying to get pregnant and every day she drinks cider, so I'm wondering if that is maybe affecting her not being able to get pregnant.

She had a test done briefly on her ovaries, the tubes and they said it's all in working order but we think it's her fiancé that can't have kids ..

What could it be ?

He is now saying he doesn't want kids anyway and doesn't show to like them THAT much. He's a good person but not very family oriented at all!

I live with them and whenever my baby briefly cries he closes the door straight away and doesn't open it for the rest of the night

I'm sure alcohol does affect fertility however it's what got me pregnant in the first place lol

Absolutely! Quitting booze got me knocked up really quickly. Alcohol affects estrogen levels. We struggled getting pregnant until I stopped all alcohol and that month is when I got pregnant!

Alcohol may decrease egg quality and causes chromosomes abnormality etc. And it screws up with hormones. However some people believe the "drink til it's pink(bfp)" and then there's the alcoholic who always ended up knocked up lol who knows

Not really. Alot if people get pregnant despite drinking heavily or doing drugs. If she's having a drink or two a day, though that is excessive while ttc, is probably not effecting it. How long have they been trying? Cause it can take Alot of women up to 2 years. Two of my pregnancies took over a year and a half to conceive.

Alcohol, caffeine, tobacco and drugs both illegal and by prescription can affect fertility adversely. It doesn't sound like he wants children though so perhaps she should not be trying with him to have a child. Just being honest.
She may want to reevaluate their relationship. If he does not want children and she does, she may need to end the current relationship and embark on a new one with someone who wants children in the near future.
