Sick of people telling me I should pump if have to breastfeed in public
Another post sparked me to preach this.
I get so annoyed lately because so many people have told me to pump instead of breastfeeding in public. Thank goodness I've had my husbands support to deal with most of these individuals but I'm just so sick of hearing or reading this.
My breasts have a very important role of providing nutrition for my son. He prefers the breast and I'm not going to deprive him because others can't handle possibly being flashed or accepting this natural role. My son gets very fussy when feeding him sometimes and not possible to completely cover him. He hates being covered... gets even more distracted by it. I think it's ridiculous when people still get uncomfortable when part of my breast is showing... I use breastfeeding clothes but still can't prevent the possibility of my breasts being displayed.
I'm sick of the stigma that it's wrong to not cover up. That's it's immodest or something. There is no right or wrong, just what my LOs preferences and needs are, simply to provide him with the nutrition he needs.
I'm going to go confidently breastfeed in public now and people can deal...
Love to all moms out there providing for their LOs needs and preferences in whatever form or way that may be
