Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome

My friends baby was born with this due to her mom smoking and eating marijuana.Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome.She is 2 months old and has kidney damage and doctors thought at 4 weeks the toxicity of the THC wouldnt effect the baby and now at 2 months they are not sure why the baby can not hold down formula. (She tried to breastfeed but doctors told her not to due to the thc in her breastmilk)The poor little girl is constantly crying in pain from her stomach and doctors do not know what to do.They stabilize her and then discharge her only for my friend to bring her right back up there 3 to 4 days later..I just wanted to share this with any moms that dont think marijuana will harm their baby..There are studies being done so in years to come more info will be available as to its dangers.It might not happen to you..there might be more dangers..the thing is Nobody Knows...Pray for Abby Lynn ..hopefully a gp specialist can do more for her..The doctors say her kidneys are damaged and her gastrointestinal tract is not working as it should causing her pain.Her bowels are inflamed as well.

Im not against medical marijuana my husband of 22years smokes due to his illness..i use to but have not in last 12 years.I just wanted to bring awareness to others as it has effected my friends life and her babies.

My friend occasionslly smoked 1 year prior to getting pregnant ..She was nauseous and couldnt keep food down so doctor prescribed it to her.I just wanted to add because if you google it ..studies show long periods of use..shes a para legal and smoked on occasions.Like weekends or parties.I dont want to make her out to be a huge pot head or something.

Update*Abby is being fed by tube and is being given fluids by an iv in her foot..Her kidneys have healed.And once she can keep food down she can go home.😀Yay
