Motrin for teething

I feel like my baby is always teething (almost 1 year old). I feel like we give him Motrin most nights or he will not sleep. His ped isn't concerned but I hate doing the meds so much. We have also tried teething necklaces, cold stuff to chew, oils and other homeopathic remedies. Any moms find issue with long term pain med use for baby?
