Inspired by another post where everyone was encouraging a woman who had cheated to confess it to her man...
If your significant other cheated on you, would you want to know?
Me personally, I've always felt like "ignorance is bliss." Why hurt me if I am fine before even knowing? I'd feel like my S/O deserved to live with the guilt and the pain of what they did. As the innocent party, I shouldn't have to face that pain too.
