preeclampsia?

Does anyone mind telling me there story, there symptoms, what you had to deal with or experienced when you found out you had preeclampsia? Or what led you to believe you may have it ? I'm 34 weeks and my nurse found protein and glucose in my urine yesterday at my appointment. I have been hurting in my right side only & all the way around to the right side of my back. My dr was very rude and blew off how I was feeling yesterday & basically told me everything is normal but never mentioned my urine. Yesterday's appt was just all together a bad experience cause I never got any answers. Today I wake up an most of the day I've been feeling jittery, out of breath almost as if my heart is racing

I had it with my first. B/P was out of control along with extreme swelling. I went into HELLP syndrome and had to have an emergency c-section at 37 weeks. I am 35 weeks now and am on bedrest for hypertension but it isn't preeclampsia...yet. My dr ordered a 24 hour urine test. He said they want it to be less than 300 and mine was 210. So, it seems like you can have protein in your urine but under a certain number... just take it easy. If you have right
Upper quadrant pain, a headache that won't go away or see spots, go in right away. But if it's high blood pressure, they just want you to stay off your feet as much as possible. Some get put on bp meds but I never did. Good luck!

I'm starting to worry about it myself. I'm 32 weeks, and My doctor has started to get worried about my BP creeping up, but they only found trace proteins in my urine, so I was told I could wait and see until the next visit. But being the over-thinker I am, I bought a BP machine on Amazon (only $25!) and have been keeping a daily log of my pressures. Trying not to freak out over the possibility of preeclampsia, but it helps me at least feel a little more in control by knowing it's not at dangerous levels, and if it does get there, I'll know it and can call.

I was diagnosed with preeclampsia a few days ago. I went to my regular OB appt last Thursday (today is Wednesday) and my BP had jumped from the last appt. Nothing to worry about at that point, but we had the discussion of where it could go and what do look for. Fast forward to Sunday night , I took my BP at home because I noticed a lot of swelling in my legs. I was around 141/86. I didn't think too much of it since I didn't have other symptoms so decided to try again in the morning. That's when I started getting readings around 140/94. I called my OB and went in for some lab work, ultimately was sent home because I was right on the cusp. Tuesday AM i took my BP again and was 151/103. I called my OB and they sent me to L&D Triage. They did labs and collected urine. Labs all came back fine, but my urine came back with some protein. They admitted me and did a 24hr urine, which showed higher protein levels, ultimately ruling in the diagnosis of preeclampsia versus gestational hypertension. Thankfully, I'm being discharged tomorrow after 3 days in the hospital and planning to continue to monitor BP from home and see my OB & maternal-fetal MD 2x/week and alert them of any new symptoms. The goal at this point is to get me to 36/37 weeks and then induce. I'm 33+3 today, so just need to make it a little longer!
