can a gestational diabetes test b wrong?

I      I failed my one hour by 3 points
 The first 3 hours test had to b redone because I vomited the glucola. They gave me a pill to take right before I was retested on Wednesday. I kept the drink down by will power alone. My body couldn't handle that much sugar. 
Today I was told that I failed  
Could the results b wrong?
Has something like this happen to any of you?
I can't understand it. I never eat sweets. Only drink water and because of a delicate stomach have a pretty healthy diet. My prepregnancy weight was 98 pounds and I have only gained 12 in 29 weeks. The numbers just don't add up!

Gestational diabetes has nothing to do with your previous diet, your size, or your pregnancy weight gain. It is very manageable once you meet with your doctor and nutritionist and find out how to control your sugars.

In order to fail your 3 hour you had to be high on 2 of the 3 hour marks so its most likely correct. Size, and sweet intake dont have much to do with it, its how your pancrease produces insulin during pregnancy. My cousin is athletic, healthy and weights 120 and still had it.

GD has to do with your pancreas being effected by 3rd trimester hormonal surges, it's not about your diet. You may have a mild case of it and as long as you avoid sweets you'll be fine.  I had GD 2 of my 3 pregnancies and as long as I stayed away from anything sugary and modified my carbs I was fine. It's important to keep doing the at home tests though because GD can worsen as the pregnancy continues to progress. By the end of my first pregnancy I had to watch my diet more and more. But babies were born perfectly fine and a normal weight.

I would just ask to be retested if you can.  3 points isn't much. My last pregnancy I failed by 2 points but they had literally just changed the numbers so they let me retake it and I passed.

Thanks everyone. I got a call from my. High risk specialist  he is considering a retest because in all prior visits to his office my levels have been normal.

ask to be retested. if the test was done at the doctor's office, ask to have it done at a lab and talk about the pssivility of a substitute for the glucola drink if your body can't tolerate it. Some moms are known to develop sugar sensitivities, or intolerance during pregnancy, so it may be the reason why your body can't process the drink.
