Both partners have to agree. Apart from that, what legal consenting adults do in the bedroom is none of my business.

As for my personal preference, I would never be with a polygamist.

Personally, I'm a monogamist. But I fully support polygamy. If everyone involved gives informed consent, it's nobody's business but theirs. Monogamy isn't for everyone, but neither is polygamy. I don't believe one should be placed higher above the other.

Polygamy is illegal. You can't legally be married to more than one person at a time.

Having multiple sexual partners at the same time isn't illegal. But I certainly don't think it's healthy, because I think commitment and sexual intimacy go hand in hand.

I think anyone who agrees with polygamy has detached themselves psychologically from the situation. If you are in love with someone, you would not truly be okay with them being intimate with another person. This is my opinion.

Polygamy as in marriage? Or just open relationships? My grandfather was a polygamist. Back in the day in Korea that sort of thing was pretty normal. My grandma was the first wife, but he took a second because she didn't produce any male children.

Of course the sex of the children was his problem, not hers - but hey, rural Korea in the 30s - You know.

I know some people who are bisexual so this kind of relationship works for them. It allows they to be with both genders and enjoy them both without cheating. It also alleviates the pressure of having to choose just one or the other to settle down with.

For me personally, it's a definite no and not something I'm comfortable with but hey, it really works for other people. As long as your doing what makes you happy, that's all that important.
