Docs took me off work bc of heart rate and blood pressure?

I'm 14 weeks monday and been having high heart rate and bp problems. I have had heart problems before my pregnancy. She says she is taking me off atleast till I see a cardiologist. I go Tuesday to see a cardiologist and go back to my ob Thursday. Do you think they'll let me go back to work?

Usually blood pressure issues can put women on bedrest at least until it calms down. I've heard of it going either way, because of the stress it can put on your baby.

I'm currently on a two week trial "bed rest" due to excessively high HR. My BP has been normally thankfully, but my HR is spiking into the 200's at times. Cardiologist/OB have different opinions on medications, so for now this is the safest route for me.

I'm not on bed rest but really wish I was, because BP meds are serious business and sometimes you just feel like crap. For example I added a new medicine today (nifedipine) and had a horrible migraine for 14 hours and couldn't even eat or do anything except use the bathroom and cry. I hope you have better luck than me!

I've been on the same situation now ... BP is way to high to do anything ... I have 2 tests with the cardiologist this Monday 😬

I hope you do but mostly if it gets too high and you have issues you will prolly be on bed rest for a few weeks
