What do you tip for salon services? Spray tanning/ Hair/ Nails?

Assuming the professional who performed a service for you is the owner of the business, how much would you tip? I get spray tans regularly and never know how much tip is expected. Let me know!

I always tip atleast 20% for a service regardless if the the person is the owner or not. I hate when people think the don't have to tip someone just because they own the business.

15-20% should be pretty standard. I give a little extra too around the holidays or for a special occasion if it's with my regular stylist.

I go every 2 weeks and I get a gel mani and my daughter gets hers painted so it's $33 and I always tip $10!

When I was in beauty school I got tipped between $1 and $25. (Haircuts cost $5, dyes cost $30)
I thought that was decent. But that was school and not an actual salon. 🤔
