How long is too long to wait?

I am 27 and my bf 29, I really want to have a baby, but he's always concernes about the finances. 
Like I work and bring in what I think is enough, plus he gets odsp and works during construction seasons so technically in the time it takes for a child to make it's appearance we could "middle classly" afford to grow and, love and support a child in my opinion. I've been with him for close to 9 years and feel we would be great parents and would get through anything if we set our mind hearts and soul to it. 
I just feel like it'll never happen if we continue to "wait"... Sigh.. He loves me but I want it to be a unanimous decision but realistically I've wanted a child since year 2 with him... So I think I've been patient enough so far.

I think everyone worries about finances. Like my mom told us, you will figure out a way to make it work. Buy stuff on sale, or at discount stores. Everything will work itself out :) I hope he changes his mind soon

My mom and dad were together at 16&17. My father proposed a year later, they were engaged five years, and then got married. Five years after they got married is when they started having kids, when my mom was 27. She had her last baby (me!) at 33! My parents were never really well off, my mom delivered newspaper as our main source of income for almost 10 years. They're still together, they had 4 pretty alright children, two of them are college grads, and no one is in debt. I think your SO has every right to have concerns and to be terrified of what parenthood means for him but I think he should also acknowledge that it's worth everything. I wish you all the best, your 18 year old of whom knows nothing about parenthood 😘😘😘😂😂😂
