anyone else?

Does anyone else get extremely annoyed when someone says "you'll know what contractions are when you get them?" I've had multiple people and doctors tell me this and it makes me so mad. I'm a ftm and have no idea what to look for or what to expect. I feel like I'm just guessing at this point 🙄

Same here! Everyone told me "Oh you'll KNOW when you have a contraction or go into labor!" Um...what?!

My sister said that they will be like your first period day but you feel as your uterus is getting stabbed and pointy objects at your cervix mixed with the next day pain you feel when you deadlift heavy weight on your lower back, finished with a big sense of pushing a huge piece of hard shit. Yes she said all that and freaked the shit out of me and then said but once baby is out, is like if you came down a roller coaster and your left the stomach in the air. Totally free, painless and heavyless. Not sure what to expect.

Yes! Mine felt like charley horses and were no where near 'the worst pain in my life'. From what other women had told me,  I had no idea I was even in labor.  They had to tell me on the contraction monitor in the hospital. The only contractions that felt like 'cramps' were after I was induced 😔

I don't get annoyed but I understand the frustration. Even having my 4th, I still get confused on what's real and what's not. I think you'll know depending on the pain level. It can uhhh stop you in your tracks 😂 I thought I was dying with my 2nd child. Then I knew I was in labor.

I had to ask my mom if I was having them and when I went to the hospital I couldn't even feel them and they were 10 minutes apart. Also FTM

Lol me to same experience my mother comes and say you'll know .. then I would be like well I have cramps here and there then she goes you'll be in labor and won't even know 😂 but I just time them if it doesn't come back it's not real

I'm a ftm and they feel like cramps but ur stomach hardens and could be in ur back too.
