preeclampsia without high Bp?

Can you have preeclampsia without high blood pressure and protein in urine? I'm 35 weeks with twins and SO swollen all the sudden. I've been having a little spotty vision and short of breath but doc doesn't seem too concerned since my blood pressure was normal and no protein in urine.

You have to have high blood pressure, and most people have protein in their urine. They did recently say it could be diagnosed with high blood pressure and severe neurological signs without protein, but that's pretty rare and spotty vision wouldn't be enough alone. Shortness of breath is just a side effect of pregnancy. ☺

Could be allergies. Pollen always messes with my eyes. HBP in combination with protein in urine is the diagnoses of preclampsia.

I've had preeclampsia twice, and both times my blood pressure was high. I only had protein in my Urine If they did a 24 hour urine test, never at the office with the sample id give. Blurry vision and seeing spots can also be caused by blood sugar issues (I recently found this out). With my middle son I didn't get preeclampsia but I was swollen. This time I was told if my arms, hands or face get swollen they wanna know, they aren't worried about legs and feet cause it's normal. Hopefully you don't develop preeclampsia!

I had high blood pressure before having protein in my urine and it wasn't until I had protein in my urine and my blood work came back abnormal that I was diagnosed with pre eclampsia and induced
