Hi. I had my 12 week bloods last Thursday then got a call to go back on Thursday this week. My bloods show increased risk of downs syndrome. I have a 1 in 87 chance. I'm now completely terrified. We were offered the amnino but are opting for the HIPT test first. Costing £500 but can have 99.9% accurate results in 5 days. Has anyone else been in this situation and had good news. I don't know how I'll cope if i get a positive result for downs syndrome. Does that make me an awful person? I always assumed all would be ok as my first son was born healthy.
