Tell me about your childbirth recovery....

Okay, so I recently discovered that my placenta previa has resolved, so a VBAC is back on the table! Yay! BUT. I hate pain. I'm a 35 year old woman who has been through tons, but I just don't like being in pain. So...tell me what the recovery is like. Do they give you pain meds to go home with? Or do you need them? I just want to have the option there if I need them. Tell me what your recovery was like.
